Mrs. Chien is a seasoned fundraising professional with over 15 years of experience in individual and annual giving, workplace giving, grant writing, and program implementation.
Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer at the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, where she established the Club's first major gifts program and led a $14.5 million capital campaign. She mentored a young development team, enhancing their skills in donor cultivation and fundraising strategies.
Prior to this role, Mrs. Chien worked at AltaMed Health Services, where she implemented an annual giving program that raised $750,000 annually and attracted more than 1,200 new donors. She also managed government and foundation grant contracts totaling $10.5 million.
Originally from Chula Vista, Mrs. Chien holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from San Diego State University and integrates her love for the arts into her fundraising work. She lives in Alhambra with her husband, Andy, and their two daughters.
